With the opening of the new area, launched in May 2017, Oriocenter becomes the leading shopping mall in Italy in terms of extension and range of offer, as well as one of the largest malls in Europe. The shopping center covers a surface of 105,000 m2, hosting 280 shops, more than 50 restaurants and bars, 14 screening halls, including Europe’s wider IMAX screen, a supermarket and more than 7,000 parking lots. The concept for the mall’s positioning and communication is “Big and Unique”.

Oriocenter provides a particularly wide and various offer: 40% fashion, clothing and underwear brands, 20% refreshment, 15% personal goods, 8% house goods and free time, 5% shoeshops, 4% electronics, 4% sports goods and 4% other services.

Oriocenter was inaugurated in 1998, promoted by Antonio Percassi on the model of the American shopping mall. It was such a successful format that in 2004 a first extension was completed, bringing the total surface to 75,000 m2 and a total of 200 stores.

Among the brands that open in Italy for the first time: wagamama, famous Japanese fast-food chain born in London in 1992 (first restaurant in Italy); Under Armour, the American sportswear and shoes brand (first store in Italy), Thule, the leader Swedish transportation company (first leather goods store in Europe).

The new Food Court testifies and underlines the uniqueness of Oriocenter. Structured on two floors, the new Food Court comprises 21 new businesses (50, overall) and 800 seats. In particular, the first floor – onto which many of the food brands overlook – was designed by London studio Softrooom and features a scenic architecture, characterized by wooden vaults that let natural light into the area, thus offering a joyful atmosphere and transforming Oriocenter into a food destination, as well as a shopping centre.

ACCESSIBILITY Oriocenter is located in Orio al Serio (Bergamo) directly in front of the International Airport on the A4 highway (Bergamo and Seriate exits). It is also reachable by pedestrians via an underground tunnel which links the airport to the center.
